I am very interested to connect SAP BW with Oracle. I am looking for help in SAP related question. I would like to know where to get lib_dbsl driver for SAP BW.
As I am using SAP BW Trial Developer version, I am not able to access to SAP marketplace. Therefore, if I would have access to marketplace , I would be able to download needed drivers for SAP BW. But I don't have this kind of access.
Do you have any ideas for me to do next?

Is ERS really needed for RKS if backup file is configured. According to documentation when ers restarts, it will check and load the locks from this backup file. So is ERS becoming redundant[if we keep HA aside].

i have a strange Problem.
I did the ABAP import via migmon (import monitor) several times without any problems. But now i have a strange behavour.
We have an Oracle ExaData with OEL 6.6 and i need to import a dump, where the exchange directory has no files in it.
So i configured our migmon like this:

And you see that between step com.sap.inst.migmon.imp.ImportStandardTask preCreate and the really starting import, he has a delay of nearly 4 hours where nothing happend for my point of view.
We had this behavior with 2 hours, 4 hours and also 5 hours delay.
Another export, which has also the exchange files, started immediate.
So what is the failure here?

Hi Gurus,
After a system crash my ECC server won't start and the dispatcher disp+work.exe is stopped. from the log I can see the error 'CONNECT failed with sql error 1033'. I found out similar issues faced by many others where the solution is to set the 'Autostart' parameter for Oracle to 'False'. But I'm unable to find this parameter. Can somebody please guide me? I'm using Windows server 2003.

it is most likely that source system had a temp license, how ever i need a vaild key or a work around to pass that

We lost our DB Schema (SAPSR3) password, and we want to change the password for schema.
We found that we can change password through BRTOOLS, but we wants to know what will be the consequences after changing password.
If there won't be any issues, then we need to show the supporting article or SAP note for the same.
Please suggest.

I am getting an error ORA-904 while executing dbacockpit. I seems, that something is wrong with my dba_tablespaces.
The error is, that column plugged_in is missing.
The error occured after starting the preparations for an upgrade from SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6 to SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7.
I am on Oracle 12c.
Could someone tell me why this column could vanish and how do I get it back?

We started installation of SAP Netweaver 7.4 SR2 Installation on Oracle RAC with ASM on Windows Server 2012 R2.
But we did not get the screen to select the option “RAC with Oracle ASM” for SAP Installation on Windows.
DB Oracle 12c
Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure is already setup.
We need to install SAP NW 7.4 SR2
Screen showing Options as below for SAP Installation does not come up while installing SAP on Windows Server 2012 R2 with Oracle RAC ASM
We are using SWPM10SP08.

I have a Oracle form in which I have to embed two conditions.
form is checking some date conditions and those date conditions are fetching in a table view having rows according to respective rows in database.Now those dates I can change manually from front end. I have to put a check on that date field if changed date is greater than next date then I have to stop that form and if the difference between consecutive dates are more than 60 days then I have to stop that form.
eg:
bind variable name is: date_bind
this date_bind is calculated in form itself and according populates value on front end.
Suppose values are :
first date is : 24-MAY-2016
second date is :24-JUN-2016
third date is : 24-JUL-2016
First condition: if I change the first date to 26-JUN-2016 the form should not proceed as this value is greater than next date (24-JUN-2016) condition
Second condition: if I change second date to 25-AUG-2016 then the form should not proceed as difference of first date (24-MAY-2016) and second date (25-AUG-2016) is greater than 60 days.
like this I can change any date , here I have to put date constrain under Post_change trigger. Please suggest how can I do that.

ive got problems with the SAP NetWeaver installation using Enhancment Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. On a Windows 2008 R2 Server.
Installed Oracle Version is 11.2.0.4.
When im at the Window where i can choose between the Versions of the Database, ive got 110 and 112. When im trying to use 112 the instalaltion gives me this errorcode:
The DB Home folder e:\oracle\i01adm\11204\dbhome_1 has not the correct DB Server version 112. Select a different DB Home folder or install the correct database server software.
The funny way is, when i lock in the 110 the installation got no problem with that option.
What should i do now?

We have a select on LTAP which has millions of rows ... One of the columns (present in the secondary index) used in our select query is highly skewed (Y/space) . Entries with space is couple of hundreds... We could use substitute literals hint to force the query to use the correct index... This table's statistics is generated with histograms.
I saw the blog about using adaptive cursor by Stefan Koehler and that we can use database parameter to turn on the Adaptive cursor. The question is does this make sense to resolve any of the issues like above.. Or would it make better sense to perform coding changes (sometimes in Standard SAP code) on a case by case basis.

I am getting the following warning message in backup log(DB12). I tried to check the at mirrlogA & mirrlogB. There are no files inside this folder. Need someone's interventions to solve this warning messages in DB12 backup logs.

For a long time we have a problem with mass parallel processing of IDOCs in SAP ERP. Big delay is in parallel UPDATE of BPGE table.
The description of process:
*) at night time, in SAP ERP come about 400-450 idocs at the same time.
*) now, begining processing of these idocs in RWPOS_PARA_ENQUEUE program, with 10-14 parallel streams.
*) about 10 minutes after begin, when function module SAPLKBPV is active, the BPGE table in all 14 streams locked for update. And only one process worked and switching other function modules and tables. There is no locks of all other tables: MVKE, MKPF, CE11000, S033, S110, S122 etc.
The same way looks processing idocs in RBDAPP01 program.
I will give some screenshots, showing negative load in this timeframe:

I tried too many optimizations of BPGE table:
*) creating/dropping indexes
*) put it in oracle KEEP POOL
*) change the technical parameters INITRANS, MAXTRANS, PCTFREE, PCTUSED
*) change number of parallel streams in RWPOS_PARA_ENQUEUE (or RBDAPP01)
It had no effect.
Why are the BPGE table updated? Can we update it at the end of processing, only ONCE? How can we disable this function module? (SAPLKBPV?)
If we could get rid of BPGE locks, the performance of parallel processing will increase significantly.

We are running our SAP Produciton server (SAP EHP 5) , Database : oracle 11g on platform HP-UX 11.31.
We have one DR Site which is also on HP Unix platform. We are using oracle standby database in Automatic Managed Recovery Mode.
We want to setup additional DR Server for testing purpose on RHEL 7.
So our primary site is on HP Unix 11.31 and standby db site on RHEL 7.
All are request to share your experience to take care before staring procedure to smooth the implementation.
