Hello all,

We are running Software provisioning manager -> "table splitting preparation" with R3load. In Phase "Oracle table splitter" we receive error for 1 table.

From table split log file we have following error:

ERROR: partitioning of table APQD in packages of max. 1031669 rows is not possible. (screens attached)

Is there any parameter that should be set for this ? I have check sap notes about table splitting 1043380, 936441 but there are not mentioned any parameters that could be set.

Hi Gurus,

While doing some house keeping, accidentally /oracle/SID/saparch/cntrl/cntrlSID.dbf got moved / deleted.

We were not aware of this until after 3 days we were informed by the backoffice team regarding the failed backups.

Upon investigation we found out that the said control file was missing and thus the backups were failing

So we copied the control file from ORIGLOG and kept it in SAPARCH !!

After copying this file, there was an usual system checkpoint and then the DB was shutdown

Now the alert file has no details of the instance shutdown but one of the trace file mentions that after the checkpoint, Oracle found out that the SAPARCH control file's version was different than ORIGLOG's control and thus it terminated the instance

Alert log mentions : Apr 30 11:00:49 2014 opiodr aborting process unknown ospid (15521) as a result of ORA-1092

TRC file mentions :

Error: kccchb_6

Control file sequence number mismatch!

fhgcsq: 890352 high_i: 0

SGA csq: 890361 lseqno: 890352 low_i: 0 hseqno: 890352

My question over here is, does Oracle shutdown the DB if it notices mismatched control file in checkpoint

I am working on SAP Implementation for one of our client. SAP has sold the licenses on Sybase Database but our client is not willing to use Sybase DB. Instead they wanted to use Oracle DB and they have the licenses directly from Oracle. We spoke to our SAP Account Manager regarding this and he suggested to raise an OSS to marketplace for changing the Installation Media's at Marketpalce but they are not doing it they asked us to connect with contract department and it's going in deeper loop.

'Here I have one query out of below list of installation media's which are database independent. Request your kind response on this so we can at least start with ECC 6.0 IDES System.

1. Unicode Kernel  ?

2. Installation Export ?

3. Oracle RDBMS - Already available from Oracle

4. N/W Kernel ?

5. Oracle Client - ?

Please highlight the media's which are database (Oracle/Sybase) dependent.

1.I took a successful Online Backup for Net Weaver Sytem through DB13 Functionality.

2.Database is Oracle .

3.When I try to Restore the Backup through BRTOOLS on the Server ,It gives SQL Error 1033.

Pl. find the enclosed Error Details:

The Std. BG -Job, SAP_Reorg_Spool which deletes old spool requests, as this job is running daily i am unable to view spool requests which are more than 1 day old, i want to view the spool requests atleast 2 days old. Is there any way or any settings in job scheduling. Please Suggest.

Hello Experts,

I am performing system refresh from production system to Test System.

Environment is AIX 6.1. with oracle 11g and ERP 6.0 EHP 5.   For refresh i am using online backup.  And Data protector tool i am using for online backup. Also both source and target system having same SID.

I am restoring SAPDATA1 to SAPDATAn and oraarch on target system.

My question is :

1. Apart from above directory is there any other directory need to restore fro refresh like origlog A, Mirlog A etc.

2. Any changes in control file is required?

3. After restore how to recover my database?

Please suggest. It urgent.

How to backup desired tables in oracle?

I guess we can create a new tablespace and move all the desired tables and back it up by using this query

ALTER TABLESPACE <TABLESPACE_NAME> BEGIN BACKUP

We are reorganizing the tablespace in our PI System by BR tools.

System config is as below:

SAP Netweaver 7.

PI 7

Oracle 10g.

While doing the reorg of tablespace each time it fails on table SXMSCLUP with below error

As i am going through the implementation phase, I have to install sap router which i am new at. Also i am doing it because i have to connect Maintenance Optimizer to Sap service Market place for which Router would be essentially required.

3. how to configure the SAP Router

We are moving from oracle 10.2.0.5.0 to 11.2.0.3.0. As part of this, i have installed Oracle 11.2. Now to run the dbua.sh script, i cant find the directory 'sap' under /oracle/SID/11203 where, it should be. Currently am stuck and can't proceed further.

Environment:

AIX 6.1

LPAR has 5 WPARS each of which is 1 SID. Am working on 1 WPAR right now.

My search in SMP, SCN is in vain.

Request yo shed some light on this if you have already come across this situation.

We have encountered a problem. Our Database is Oracle and Online+redolog backup has been scheduled daily. Jobs starts at 00.05 AM from Indian time and completed at 09.00AM. But two days ago the job has not started and we are getting red in DB13, when i click to see the log, i am getting only a message Scheduling Failed, and there is not any log to find why Scheduling failed. Its already scheduled from a long time and it was running properly, and today again the same message we are getting. What i feel that there must be some resource un avaliablity that's why the scheduling is failed. But how to find out the cause.

I have verified all the dev_w* files there is no information, Can anyone help me to find out the cause of this problem. We are on ECC 6.0 and Oracle 10.2.0.2.0
