Hello All,
why import of change request in production takes more time than import into quality?
Hi Experts,

Hello,
Can someone please tell me how can I get an equivalent statement in Open SQL to the one below?
Unfortunately SAP's Open SQL doesn't allow CASESs and I can't have in in the WHERE clause because there are other fields I need to check and cannot eliminate a whole row if this particular field is 0.
SELECT AVG(CASE WHEN FIELD1 > 0 THEN FIELD1 ELSE NULL END)
FROM... WHERE...
Thanks
How to Monitor DB01 Exclusive Locks and get an email trigger ? Can anyone suggest ? I tried CCMS ( Oracle --> Performance --> locks and it looks different and it doesn't match with DB01) . May be firing oracle SQL is an option , but it could be my last option.
Hello Team,
We created the clone of system A on By cloning using Hyper V export/import option.
Later we changed the all mount points pointing to B.We have now database Oracle 11.2.0.4 OS Linux RHEL 6.0 after cloning. And SAp is ECC 6.0 EHP 7 ,SAP_BASIS 740.Now we are running SWPM 1.0 Sp06 patch3 to rename the SID from A to B.
We encountered the below error
"An error occurred while processing option System Rename > Standard
System > SAP System Rename( Last error reported by the step: The JVMreports an exception during execution of class com.sap.sdt.ins.component.ora_clone_db_post_dia.DiSchemaUsersAndListener_validator) and function executeStepClass.\n DIAGNOSIS: The reported error
messagefrom JVM is: com.sap.sdt.sltoolbox.kdb.KdbException: no server version found in /oracle/B/11204 at
We can start our database and we also installed oracle 11.2.0.4 on B server on path /oracle/B /11204 again
still SWPM is giving same error. Please suggest.
Hi,
I`d like to ask you about one case. I try to install new SAP ERP ECC 6.06 system, based on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 and Oracle 11.2.0.3.
From OSS I download Software Provisioning Mgr 1.0 and SAP software:
SAP ERP -> SAP ERP ENHANCANE PACKAGE -> EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 -> SAP EHP3 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0
Later on fresh version SUSE I run SWPM -> SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP 3 -> ABAP -> Oracle -> Central system. During the SAP installation, I saw information about ORACLE installation:
Log in as user ora<sid>
Set the DISPLAY variable
Change the directory...
Start ./RUNINSTALLER
Then I logon to the system as ora<sid>, and I created directory and changed premission to thes directories:
mkdir /oracle/<SID>/11203/dbs
mkdir /oracle/<SID>/11203/network
mkdir /oracle/<SID>/11203/network/admin
mkdir /oracle/<SID>/11203/bin
mkdir /oracle/<SID>/11203/bin/oracle
chmod 777
Next I download last /RUNINSTALLER version (NOTE 1524205) and I started installation Oracle. All looks weel, I instaled Oracle, after instalation I run script:
oraInstRoot.sh
root.sh
ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/<SID>/11203
pathname local bin directory = /usr/local/bin/
and created links - ln -s 11203 /oracle/<SID>/112_64
But if I try continue SAP installation, I see information:
THE ORACLE DATABASE SOFTWARE IN NOT YET INSTALLED.
Of coure I restarted SWPM, and still I have problem. What should I do, where is the problem ?

T.

.... disk full
Teh disk is not full and it has more than 50% free,
So, I need to recreate the repository again.

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Good morning people,
after struggling for some hours with this, I think that I'm missing something while setting up backup through brbackup for a database stored in ASM.
Normally for RAC/ASM databases I rely on plain RMAN, but this time the customer wants to use brbackup to track backups from SAP.
The landscape is as follows:
- RDBMS + SAP server running on RHEL 6.5
- Oracle 11.2.0.4 latest patches
- Brtools 7.40 patch 6
- Database stored in ASM
Whenever I try to run a backup to disk as I would do with a database stored on a regular filesystem I get the following message:
$> brbackup -u / -p initDEVclean.sap -d disk -t online -m all BR0051I BRBACKUP 7.40 (6) BR0055I Start of database backup: beovhugt.and 2014-09-26 08:46:31 BR0484I BRBACKUP log file: /oracle/DEV/sapbackup/beovhugt.and BR0477I Oracle pfile /oracle/DEV/sapprof/initDEV.ora created from spfile /oracle/DEV/112/dbs/spfileDEV.ora BR1805I Oracle spfile /oracle/DEV/sapprof/spfileDEV.ora created from pfile /oracle/DEV/sapprof/initDEV.ora BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2014-09-26 08:46:32 BR0319I Control file copy created: /oracle/DEV/sapbackup/cntrlDEV.dbf 20267008 BR2011E Only RMAN backups supported for ASM database files BR0056I End of database backup: beovhugt.and 2014-09-26 08:46:32 BR0280I BRBACKUP time stamp: 2014-09-26 08:46:32 BR0054I BRBACKUP terminated with errors
And it only allows me to run a backup through brbackup if it uses rman_disk or rman_stage , which, by design, only backup to tape through the SBT library provided by SAP (already installed as stated in note 142635)
I already tried using both of the following parameter sets in initDEVclean.sap profile file:
backup_dev_type = rman_util | rman_disk | rman_stage
for backup types rman_disk or rman stage
and
backup_dev_type = disk disk_copy_cmd = rman | rman_set
for backup type disk (which fails with the above error message)
Has anybody managed to perform a simple RMAN backup to local disk, using brbackup, in an ASM stored database?
many thanks
Jordi

Hi All,
Can anybody help in getting the steps involved in Heterogeneous system copy with table splitting options and with migration monitor?
My objective is to go for export with minimum downtime.
a) I had gone though the SAP guides and other content's and got to the conclusion that with table splitting options it is possible to reduce the down time for export.
b) Table splitting steps with migration monitor i.e. table splitting option with sapinst seems to take the huge amount of time so with MIGMON the downtime be reduced and export would be fast.
Thanks & Regards,
D Kumar
Hi Friends,
We are running oracle 11g 11.2.0.3.0 on Linux having CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.
There are oracle RAC having 9 nodes and 28 SAP APPs instances for CRM and 8 for SAP ECC.
We are facing performance challenge in transaction code FBL5N in ECC and in CRM we are facing same issue for customer and partner not able to enter meter reading.
We have analyzed both issue in found that it is using wrong index. After making wrong index invisible it is using correct index and performance is also fine.
Now we are not able to find how it picked up wrong index in both cases and nothing has changed in programs and database level.

I am doing oracle upgrade from oracle 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.4 , when i am installing patching of oracle 10.2.0.5 , its showing error like " "Checking for Oracle Home incompatibilities ...
Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failed <<<<
Problem: Oracle 10g Database Companion CD products can only be installed into an existing Oracle Database 10g Oracle Home.
Recommendation: Choose an existing Oracle Database 10g Oracle Home for installing this software."
Please suggest me , how could i resolve the error .
