Hi all,
with FlexFrame for SAP we offer a infrastructure solution which enables you to run Oracle software on a host which is member of a pool of hosts. We have a single OS image and /root is readonly.
So it could be possible to have more than one Oracle installation within a server pool and because of 'service run everywhere' each host sees all Oracle installations. If I now switch to software owner oracle I'm in doubt that all Oracle databases work fine. I have one software owner and its environment, but need different environments dependent on which database I want to start. Who makes sure that I can start SID AAA in parallel with SID BBB onone host (this is independent from our infrastructure - you could have also two oracle on a single host) ? Is oraenv sufficient to seperate the different SIDs ? Or how should work in an enviroment with multiple Oracle on one host ? Is it, may be, a security lack if all is summurized under one user ?
kind regards
Karlheinz
