Hi!
Been doing some reading but could find anything that suits the customer's need.
Have a customer that wants to install SAP on Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exalogic. (no problem here)
The question is that the customer already has a NON SAP database running on Oracle Exadata and wants to use that database for SAP (creating a new database schema, MCOD installation).
Is this supported? Having a non-SAP and a SAP schema on the same database? Couldn't find any documentation that clearly stated this.
Also, understand that it is recommend to install the SCS on Exadata - any problems for the Exadata (or the already existing database) if we install the SCS on it? Alternative is to use external hardware to install the SCS.
As for SAP on Oracle Exalogic, does anyone know if Oracle Linux 6 update 6 is supported? Found this note 1617188 - SAP Software and Oracle Exalogic (version 7, the latest) that states that Oracle Linux 6 is not yet available.
Oracle version should be 11.2.0.2 or 11.2.0.4 .
OS version should be Oracle Linux 6 update 6 .
Your comments welcome and much appreciated.
Thanks in advance and
Kind Regards,
JC
