When I try to access through SAP GUI I got this error:

sap system message: DB error: SQL error 376 occurred
Check O/S SAP System Log
Database error 376 at SEL access to table USR02
Restart server now works fine... I got same problem yesterday, almost everyday I restart server...

Dear experts,
we want to switch to BRBACKUP backups using RMAN. The backups will be saved on disk.
How can I please set the retention of the backups, so that backups (and archivelogs), let's say
older than 30 days will be automatically purged ?
Using normal BRBACKUP, I have managed this by setting cleanup_disk_backup = 30 and
cleanup_disk_archive = 30 and scheduling the Cleanup Logs job in DB13.
Now after switching to RMAN, old backups are not being purged.
I know that in RMAN it is possible to configure a recovery window (of let's say 30 days) and all the
backups, which are older, are being declared as expired. But even after that it is necessary to schedule
a "delete obsolete" job in oracle.
So, is that the correct way to go, or it is possible to make it with the Cleanup Logs job ? Or
using some other BRTOOLS trick ?

To increase the Oracle performance, we are planning to execute the below commands at OS level during non business hours in ECC, BW and GRC systems.
1) brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t system_stats
2) brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t oradict_stats
3) brconnect -c -u / -f stats -t all -f collect -p 4
Is there any sequence to follow to execute these below 3 commands in ECC/BW and GRS systems.
Please let us know whether we need to follow any procedure before executing the above 1 and 2 command. Also let us know whether we can schedule these 3 commands once in three months. Please advise us

Hi,
We are running on Oracle 11.2.0.3. We are facing significant increase in database time.
Database time is 80% of the Average response time.
Below are the other perameters ---
Data Buffer Quality [%] - 94.8%
DD-cache Quality [%] - 80.4%
SQL area getratio [%] - 98.9%
SQL area pinratio [%] - 94.3%
SQLA.Reloads/pins [%] - 3.1983%
All seems ok except reload/pins, which is very high.
I am clue less why database time is so high ? Need your suggestions to improve the database time.

Updated the latest Cim files also.

I am struck with Check Content Sync Status & Version and the message is Content synchronization from SLD to LMDB is not finished (progress 0%) . checked the log SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 / 10201600 but the job failed

Hi Experts,
I have installed oracle 10.2.0.1(software only) in windows server 2008 R2(X64).
Now I want to patch this to oracle 10.2.0.4 version.
I have downloaded the patch and extracted and run the installer.
Now when I choose the oracle to patch, it gives the error that 'this can be used on an existing oracle home only'.
Also in the 'installed product' button, this is not showing any software details.
I am not able to understand what is the reason for this error. Please help.

We are running Oracle 11.2.0.4 oh HP-UX 11.31 systems.
I have tired both and OFFLINE and then a database file copy from System A to System B.
When I get to the SWPM part where it does the backup/restore it fails.
I have done cloning databases outside of SAP tools so I think I know how to do it..
The first issue is that regardless of the way I move the datasbase the ALTER DATABASE RECOVER wants more archive logs... somehting that chokes the SAP tool.
So I thought I fixed it (tested by bringing the DB on System B up OK). But now I can not get past the backup/Restore option.
In the pop-up I get:

So... what is causing hte ORA-01012: not logged on message?
I know what is causing the ORA-32004: obsolete or deprecated parameter
(s) specified for RDBMS instance, it is SAPs requirement in the use of
the remote_os_authentication parameter.
How do I get by these? I mean I know my "new" database is up fine but
I can't get past the Backup/Restore database option in SWPM.
If there was only a 'skip' button...

Restore is done using HP data protector after restore database is not opening

Dear all,
I am trying to move my system from 10G on AIX to 11G on windows platform however while exporting the DB with R3load I am getting ORA-29275 error for some non-standard tables.
If I ignore those table from .TSK files or truncate on source system I am able to migrate this table with oracle exp/imp utility without any problem.
However I would like to fix this issue and prefer to use R3load for migrating the db.
And also source DB character set is UTF8. I have posted below related cmd,log and STR files of one of those tables.
If there is anyone came across same problem before or anyone have an idea about it I am looking forward to your comment.

When I log in to server and check i can see these file at respective locations. but db check is saying its missing we restarted the DB and system is up database is geting opened, even online backups are running fine without any warnings or error.

Hi all,
We are using the oracle DB,HA system.
Every half hour the offline redolog backup was triggered in Primary DB and Local standby.

If any one know why this error has occur wher I have to check it?
In local standby ther is no copy save only delete has performed. (BR0039I Last offline redolog file /oracle/PCT/oraarch/PCTarch1_91_835192522.dbf will not be backed due to stopped database instance PCT_LSTB/STANDBY)

In DB 12 ,Be hand the overview of redo log files its Displaying message like redo log files not yet backedup 133. how to resolve this, what is mean by that message!!!
As per Note 527843 , SAP has a requirement to install Oracle RDBMS binaries on shared filesystem. What would be the issue if we decide to install on local system? It's a standard practise everything to install oracle rdbms binaries locally to facilitate rolling patching but looks like SAP thinks otherwise.
Has anyone installed Oracle RDBMS binaries locally in SAP environment? Would appreciate a quick response.
