I have an issue in my IDES server. When I try logging in I face the following error "An SQL Error occured when accessing the table".

Even I have checked my tablespaces using brtools.

Minimizing Downtime during large database Migration with Oracle Data Guard

0
0

Hello community,

we have to migrate a large database to a new datacenter. My approch to avoid downtime was to install a Oracle DataGuard system completely and do log shipping of the current live produciton system to this target system.

We are awarethat the SAP provides the following propositions (but no option):

Note 1508271 - Oracle to Oracle Online Migration - Triple-O

Note 693168 - Minimized Downtime Service and Incremental Migration (IMIG)

Would you recommend this method and there are documentation for this (DataGuard)- method?

Many thanks for your help!

Error in report RSORACOL

Hi everybody,

In our Solution Manager I get the next error when the report RSORACOL is executed (inside SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR):

Exception CX_DBA_ADBC in program RSORACOL line 0

  Kernel Error ID:

  SYSID: SM           --> Solution Manager

Exception CX_SQL_EXCEPTION in class CL_SQL_RESULT_SET

  Kernel Error ID:

  DB Error: Yes

  SQL Code: 942

  SQL Message: con=1(XXX.XXXXX): ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

In the Solution Manager the table ORA_MON_DBCON, which is read by RSORALCOL, has entries for the rest of the systems in the landscape. When try to execute the functions in table DB02_COLL_PLAN, the result is the error above.

Could anybody help me with it?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have performed a homogeneous system copy from Production (PRD)  to Quality Server.(QAS)

(Restored from a PRD backup)

Post installation steps are done on QAS & system is functioning properly

But, when it executes the job  "Check and update optimizer statistics" on QAS ... after if seconds that job fails.

(Detail log file is attached. - log.txt)

(In PRD , it executes successfully)

Hi everybody,

I am currently facing the situation that I get the error "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges" while running Backup or even while making a Database system check with BRTOOLS (BRBACKUP and BRCONNECT).

This error occurs since the update of the SAP System, from Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 08 to Solution Manager 7.1 SPS 10

DB = Oracle 11g

OS = Windows 2003 x64

Error message while backup

I have already found an old discussion with a similar error, but this was not really answered.

Kind regards,

Niklas

Remaining objects in old Tablespace

0
0

Hello,

I´ve finished EHP installation and I'm doing the Follow-up activites when I try to drop the old tablespace I can't do it because there are objects into this old tablespace.

I´ve read this notes:

1715052 - Tablespace cannot be deleted after upgrade

1819182 - Tables (TTREE*) remain in old exchange tablespace But in this note, It doesn't explain the steps to process/change the objectos from old to new TS.

     In transaction SE13 or SE11, change the data type SSEXC to APPL0 for the tables and activate your data. After you do this, you can use

     a) SE14

     b) ICNV

     c) DB tools

     to move the table to a different tablespace (for TABART APPL0).

Looking for scn I´ve founded this thread but the solution It's not "official" by Sap.

brspace -c force -o process,time -u / -f tbreorg -a reorg -tablespace PSAPPRD700 -t "*" -parallel 3 -degree 3 -newts PSAPSR3731

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3294166

Any advice?

Thanks

Settings for DB13 => task => validate structure => where to maintain the options for parallel threads ...?

0

Hi SAP community,

we want to schedule the DB13 tasks validate structure.

When we run this tasks via BrTools, we have the option, to configure the amount for parallel threads.

As this tasks is executed via OS User SAPService[SID] and by default, you can't log-on on OS-Level to this user, we trying to schedule the task via DB13 transaction ...

Therefore we are looking for the options to change the threads from 1 to 4 (up to the CPU oracle can use ...).

For BrArchive and BrBackup, etc. the configuration is done in INIT[SID].SAP file ...

I was search this forum but didn't found any results so far, same in help.sap.com ...

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

AIX/HA Oracle Upgrade

0
0

I've completed a number of Oracle upgrades from 10g to 11g but none on an AIX/Oracle cluster.

I checked the SAP upgrade guides and none of them mention/discuss cluster upgrade methodology.

Has anyone here done such an upgrade?

Would you care to elaborate the differences between a single system upgrade vs/ an instance running on a HA cluster please?

Are there any central or important notes that I should take a look at?

I have searched for documents under the HA links, Oracle database upgrade and documents under various SAP products for this information but have been unable to find a guide, if there is a location that I've missed, could you point that out as well please?

Issue regarding job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_STARTUP_DP

0
0

Hi,

We are facing an issue regarding an event triggered job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_STARTUP_DP.

Details of the job

-

ABAP Program -> RSAL_BATCH_TOOL_STARTUPDISP

User -> DDIC

Job Frequency -> Event Periodic

Event -> SAP_MONITORING_STARTUP_DISPATCH

We performed Database Refresh and this job has come from Source System. We have deleted the job in Target System but after that also we are getting continuous error message in SM21.

Error message is as follows:

14:33:36 DIA  001 000 SAPSYS                EA  S Failed to reschedule a periodic job

14:33:36 DIA  001 000 SAPSYS                EB  C > Job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_STARTUP_DP

On digging down we got the below information in SM21 regarding the error:

Documentation for system log message EA S :

-

This message is output by one of the job schedulers active in the

system (e.g. time or event-based scheduler). It indicates a problem

related to the database. An attempt was made to reschedule a periodic

job and write the respective control data in the database. This error

occurred for one of the associated database operations (for example,

INSERT or UPDATE).

Another cause of the error is failure to generate a new job ID number.

A subsequent message will point this out.

The following courses of action are possible:

Check whether there are any other notes on this problem next to this

message in the system log, for example direct messages from the

database interface. These details generally bring you closer to the

actual cause of the problem.

The additional information for this message contains the name of the

database table for which the error occurred.

If you determine that the error occurred during the SELECT access to

table TBTCI, the internal report belonging to this background job has

been deleted. In this case, there is normally a background job in the

'terminated' status, which ended due to runtime error

'LOAD_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND'. Delete this job to prevent further

unnecessary scheduling on the part of the background processing

scheduler. You must then reschedule the job concerned.

As rescheduling of the periodic job could not be completed

successfully, this job is not executed at first. The background

processing scheduler takes this job and attempts to schedule it again.

Depending on the repetition period, gaps in running the background jobs

can occur for successful scheduling (i.e. the background jobs that were

unsuccessfully scheduled will be missing in the job overview if their

execution date elapsed in the meantime).

Since the next start of the periodic job could not be scheduled

correctly, there is no entry in the job overview for the planned start

date.

If the system failed to generate the job ID number, you will find notes

on what to do next in the long text of the respective system log

message.

We have fixed also Background Object in SM61.

Kindly help to fix this issue. Looking forward for reply.

Thanks,

Soumya
